Brick Lane Panto - Mother Goosed - Wednesday, 30th January 2019

What a fantastic afternoon out - we laughed until it hurt.

Brick Lane Music Hall was itself a surpirse as it is a converted unused church but as soon as you step inside you are in the world of a music hall.  Instead of sitting in seats in rows as with usual threatres, the audience are seated at tables and chairs to facilitate the cream tea which was provided at the interval - and what a cream tea it was - an assortment of fresh club sandwiches and a huge selection of cakes and scones, all served by friendly and helpful waiters.

The performance itself was brilliant and professional with stunning costumes  - hosted by the founder of Brick Lane Music Hall, Vincent Hayes.

Vincent Hayes founded the Music Hall in 1992 and in 2013 was awarded an MBE for services to British Music Hall and his contribution to the community. The Music Hall has involvement in community outreach projects, from school workshops and programmes to entertainment for the elderly, as well as supporting other charities.  The Brick Lane Music Hall Charity was established in 1996 to take music hall entertainment to the elderly and those genuinely unable to travel to the theatre in care homes, day care, hospices and long-stay wards.

It is most definitely well worth a visit and hopefully Lets Dance Melange will organise another trip to this amazing venue.  Contact via email to request a show or sponsor a show is:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
