Sessions Cancelled Until Further Notice Due to Coronavirus

In line with current government recommendations, the Committee of Lets Dance Melange have come to the decision to cancel all forthcoming sessions until further notice.  The Committee will review the situation again in one month's time, when all members will be advised via the usual channels as to whether it is necessary to cancel for a further length of time.  This website will be up-dated as and when appropriate.

In the meantime, we urge you all to follow the advice given on a daily basis in order to minimise the chances of contracting this nasty virus and stay well.

Changes to and cancellation of sessions

Thursdays, 9th April and 28th May (Thursday before Good Friday and Thursday after the Spring Bank Holiday)

With Kelly, our regular instructor on maternity leave, our other two instructors are unable to cover these two dates and, as it is possible many people will be away or have other arrangements during these periods, we have decided to cancel these two dates.

Thursday, 7th May - we are hoping to hold an 'alternative dance session' on this date as St. Josephs Hall, Redhill is being used for local elections.  The session will take place in Horley Baptist Church instead.  More details to follow.

Early Summer Break - Horley Baptist Church has one Tuesday during this period where the hall will be unavailable.  We will look into an alternative venue, if appropriate, once the date is confirmed.

Affects of Coronavirus on Lets Dance Melange sessions

In terms of Lets Dance sessions, we are playing it by ear and will cancel sessions and events if it is felt necessary to do so and in line with what is happening in the area, so please look out for WhatsApp messages and updates by email.

We will update this website with further information as and when we are able.

Coronavirus - Public Health Guidance

Like the common cold, coronavirus infection usually occurs through close contact with a person with novel coronavirus via coughs and sneezes or hand contact.  A person can also catch the virus by touching contaminated surfaces if they do not wash their hands -

*  always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze.  Then bin the tissue and wash your hands or use a sanitiser gel

*  wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport.  Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

*  avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

*  avoid close contact with people who are unwell

If you have any concerns about your health you are advised to stay at home and ring 111.
